During therapy I claimed that I did not want to be like this (CPTSD reactionaryism for ever). How I do not believe that it is forever, that I can heal from this? She suggested that I think of it as a scratch in a record. Not all the time, just when the record goes around. “You will be in a different relationship with the scratch.”
I was listening to WQXR and it was Clayelle Dalferes’ weekend shift. As I added more gold into the impressed mark of this painting, she introduced the next classical work with this:
The concerto was composed during the summer of 1919 at Elgar's secluded cottage "Brinkwells" near Fittleworth, Sussex, where during previous years he had heard the sound of the artillery of World War I rumbling across the Channel at night from France. In 1918, Elgar underwent an operation in London to have an infected tonsil removed, a dangerous operation for a 61-year-old man. Passer des Fruits series: I have been collecting titles of meaning since last year. This series is a departure from my usual practice of waiting for the painting, like a baby or beloved pet, to tell me their name. Instead of intuiting shape, then finding a title, I went the other way and let the title’s intent begin the work.
